Server was very polite and attentive, food was great. Appetizers were good. Only wish I had gotten alfredo over the marina/afredo mixture.

Today, I had the pleasure of enjoying a lunch here at Bella Ciao in Saint Paul MN. Our server Eric was a very polite and courteous server. Every single item served was fresh and very delicious. I have included some pictures of my lunch.

Family owned. Complete expected Italian menu, all the expected, with a couple unique items. Quiet, good service. I had a baked rigatoni with sausage special. Son had the salmon with spinach, both were delicious and very fresh tasting.

Wow. The food is fresh, it's clean, and it all comes out fast. You can taste all the pride and love put into it all.

And order the cannolis. Freshest I've had outside of Chicago or New York.

Went here with my little family for lunch. Service took a bit longer than other places, but I didn't mind at all because the food was bomb! Not overly salty like most places and everything tasted fresh. Especially the veggies: crunch crunch. I would definitely visit this place again.

Hidden ITALIAN gem in the Oakdale/Mahtomedi/Lakewood Village area! There isnt anything we had that I would not recommend! The Diablo is a little spicy for some palates, though. Exquisite food! Excellent service from Erick!

Ordered off of DoorDash - I ordered chicken parmesan and Alfredo and both of them tasted amazing and then the breadsticks with it were perfect. Its rare that I enjoy a restaurants Alfredo sauce and it was delicious. Very happy with this new find.

Here youll find a staff thats both helpful and kind. The food is good and prepared with care, and always makes it to your table quickly. Weve eaten here many times and have never had a bad experience. I see theyve expanded the restaurant and their success is so deserved.

We went for lunch, but I ended up ordering off of the regular menu. The Chicken Carbonara was very delicious, and I would order it again. (I wish they had a lunch portion on the menu, as I had plenty to take home, and it never reheats quite the same!) The complimentary cheese bread was appreciated, and I could've eaten the whole plate myself!

Bread sticks were brought out with the meal, and I'm not sure if we could've asked for more. It took quite a while to get our food, so I wouldn't recommend it for a quick lunch spot, and since it took so long, I guess I would've preferred to also have bread sticks while we waited!

Chicken Parm is excellent. Cali was great as a server, totally worth a visit!

After moving to MN over 10 years ago, I FINALLY found a place that serves amazing food!!!! Do yummy and excellent service!!!

Love this place but the chicken was one of the worse things. No flavor, and chicken tasted super dry felt like it was boiled. I only made it to halfway before tossing it out. Other than that I love their other dishes.

We Doordashed, wanting to try something new. The food was delicious, a bit spendy, but worth it as it'll last 2 meals instead of 1. Bruschetta was good, a bit weird to be served on garlic toast and only 4 slices for ~$12 so again, spendy, but the topping itself was well prepared with tomato, basil, cheese, balsamic and red onion. Delicious pasta, would definitely eat here again.

I grew up in an Italian neighborhood near Chicago. Bella Ciao is comparable if not better than any Italian restaurant I've been to. It's absolutely amazing. I can't say enough about the food, the staff and the ambience.

Excellent menu and fantastic food. My wife had the chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti and it was fabulous! I had the chicken carbonara and it was stupendous! We shared a superb Italian salad before the pasta came out. It was enough for 3 folks! We shared with a couple we were eating with. And absolutely marvelous place! We'll be back :-)

This is a much nicer place on the inside than what it appears to be from the outside (Bella Ciao is located in a strip mall). The waiter was attentive, and the food was very good. The portions were more than sufficient. It was a little pricey for a strip mall location but perfectly reasonable were this a brick and mortar building. Still, I have no complaints about the atmosphere or location. I tipped twice: once for the service and the other for the presentation. I look forward to visiting Bella Ciao on subsequent trips to this area.

I didnt actually eat in the restaurant. I got door dash after trying to get Italian food from a place that we had frequented. Thankfully, they did not do door dash and your restaurant popped up and I said lets try it. Amazing food. That was the best chicken carbonara Ive ever had and huge portions. I can eat that for three days, my husbands chicken fettuccine was amazing, he was full but refused to stop eating it until it was gone and dont get me started on the tiramisu. Fluffy, light, whipped filling was to die for. Thank you. Sometimes you regret spending money on eating out, but not this time. Well worth every penny.

Stopped in with some out of town guests tonight. We all enjoyed our meals very much. First time there and we heard it was good. We will be back.

Food is amazing. Generally Im not a fan of chicken breasts but their lemon caper chicken is one of the best things Ive ever eaten. The mashed potatoes are also very impressive. The little bread sticks that come with an order are also surprisingly very very tasty. I wasnt a fan of the buffalo wings but I had them delivered so maybe that ruined them. I thought ten dollars sounded high for a slice of cake but their chocolate cake is some of the best restaurant cake Ive had and the size is decent. Super moist and comes on top of a layer of chocolate sauce.

The staff were great. Very friendly, quick service. The food was perfection! I'll definitely be going back to try other items on thy menu!

Its a very small sized restaurant specializing in Italian foods My first choice off the menu when my girlfriend first introduced to this restaurant was Fettuccine Alfredo and MAN!!!!! It was life changing!!! Ive never had a better Fettuccine ANYWHERE, and now it being at least my fourth time back, i picked up another order to go I like my noodles on the softer side but however they cook theirs, its been perfect every time and they havent skimped on the most wonderful cream sauce, served with two heavenly breadsticks!!! I always stop at Bella Ciaos right off 694 and 120 now whenever Im in the vicinity!!! Quick as you would expect to be served, more luscious than you can imagine!!!

We have done dine in, carry out, and delivery and this place never disappoints! I am a big fan of Italian food and they do it right with rich flavors and ample portions. It's an unexpected gem and worth trying. Marsala and Bella Ciao Chicken are two of my favorites.

The atmosphere was incredible, amazing service and warmth toward customers. The staff looked happy to serve customers and please guests. The food tasted as good as it looked! Highly recommend the Ravioli alla bolognese for newcomers of this establishment. All in all, a great experience!

This is really the most underrated Italian restaurant in the north metro. We had Bella Ciao chicken (lemon capers artichoke prosciutto chicken) which was a 10! Also had gnocchi with Italian sausage (and mushrooms and onions) in a delicious rosa, another 10! They gave free cheese bread before the meal, and free bread sticks with the meal. I can't believe the value. Tell your friends! Wow!

I ordered the Fra Diavolo and it was perfectly spicy and full of flavor. The portion size was large and very filling. The atmosphere of the workers was very friendly professional and attentive. Alex was so welcoming and kind. I can't wait to bring a partner and share this space with them! Would highly recommend.

We have had take out from here a while back and it was really good. We decided to stop in for lunch and everything was awesome!

It wasn't that busy so we were seated right away. They have a lunch menu with smaller portions than the dinner menu, but they are still great portions.

I had the Shrimp Diavolo and my wife had the same thing, but subed the shrimp for chicken. Both of ours were super delicious. Lots and lots of garlic with just the right amount of zing. I also had a side of cesar salad which was pretty good. The waiter also brought us some garlic cheese bread with marinara sauce on the house, which was super nice of him to do for no reason. The garlic cheese bread was delicious and will definitely get that next time.

Definitely worth going here for lunch or dinner. We will be back.

Family run business. Absolutely everything was delicious. Started with calamari & caprese salad - both excellent. Ordered chicken carbonara & salmon with fettuccine alfredo. Strong rich flavors in both and the white sauce were not too rich or buttery, like other places. Complimentary garlic toast at the beginning with bread sticks with the meal. Wine and food are both very reasonably priced, too!

This location was off the freeway and very close to a destination I deliver to. Entering the restaurant, a lovely aroma of Italian food greets you. Nice artwork on the walls and TV's above the bar. They give cheese bread and have an excellent menu of traditional foods. I personally ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. It was amazing and the meatballs were perfectly seasoned and soft. The food was fairly priced and the waitresses provided excellent service. Not to mention they were also very cute. I highly recommend this business.

I've ordered from Bella Ciao through DoorDash several times, but only recently went there for the first time. It's a cozy and charming restaurant, and their Baked Gnocchi and Sausage is absolutely amazing! Their Bella Ciao Salad is also delicious. My friend enjoyed her Manicotti, but the gnocchi is where it's at for me :)

Best Itialian Ive ever had. I keep going back to try something new every time. Every meal in my opinion is spot on. You can tell everything is home made. Nothing from a can. Service could be a little more attentive on refills, but the food makes up for it.

We tried your Restaurant for the first time this evening. Wow it was Excellent! Thank you for the Doordash Deliver Service as well. We ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, Extra Meatballs and Cheese Curds. We will definitely be ordering from you again!

The service was very friendly. My husband had the lasagna and said wasn't bad, but it had a different taste to it. I had the small Caesar salad and it was a good size portion. The garlic bread with mozzarella was very good, although it didn't have much of a garlic flavor. Overall it was a nice meal.

As a truck driver I'm always on the lookout for a good little spots to have a solid meal. That being said, this place was great I ordered the chicken marsala with linguini Alfredo as a side with the meal was cheese bread with house made marinara and bread sticks. The attention to detail o. The house made sauces were telling and made it such a great experience. Thanks to all of you I'll be back when I'm in town next.

Wow! I had no expectations going to eat here. My son wanted pasta for dinner on his 8th birthday so I did a quick Google search and this little gem popped up. We were very happy with the customer service and the quality of their food. We ordered a few different options and were not disappointed at all! If you want fresh delicious pasta I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!! try the gnocchi, it was superb!

The food here is excellent. Not large portions but plenty. I feel for an Italian restaurant the bread could be a little better, but Im part Italian a little picky with my bread. Great food, wonderful service, welcoming atmosphere. We stopped at Bella Ciao on an impulse. They had no open tables but there was room at the bar, which had enough spacing to make dining comfortable.

Jessica and Xavier were very helpful and friendly, and our food arrived in a timely manner (even though they were very busy). The serving size was large enough for us to end up with a box to take home for lunch tomorrow.

We are planning on eating there again and are very happy to have Bella Ciao in the neighborhood.

If you are looking at lower carbs, for example, you can select green beans rather than pasta. Having said that, their pasta is wonderful. Everything we ordered was excellent and plentiful. We had the Bella Ciao Chicken, Chicken Parmigiana, Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and Penne Cardinale. Service was great too and our waiter gave us some great dinner suggestions. I can't wait to go back!

We had the chicken parietal with a side of spaghetti, chicken parm with a side of fettuccine, Bella Ciao chicken and penne Cardinale, and all were excellent. $3 wine Wednesday wad a nice surprise! Visited Thursday evening. Enjoyed the Chicken Carbonara and for some reason was drawn to the garlic mash potato's. Oh my God both were heaven. The quality of the food is so amazing. You will have to look twice to find as it is in a small strip mall but find it. Was soooo good!!!!!

This place is INCREDIBLE! To be honest, growing up with Italian culture, I was skeptical. I mean its in a strip mall and its been several restaurants before this one. I went with my mom and aunt last minute, and we were all blown away. Every single one of us said it was some of the best Italian food weve ever had! The pasta is super tasty, the service was great, and the bread beforehand was a bonus. Cant wait to return!

My husband ordered chicken wings and dummies (rubbed). They were overdone and quite chewy. Not much detectable flavor to the rub. I ordered a kid's size spaghetti with meatballs to taste test as it was said to be the same sauce and meatballs as the regular size. It was disappointing. I also ordered the side dish of fresh steamed green beans. Now that was large size $6.99,, and excellent and hence the 4 stars rather than 3. We will give them another try by ordering full dinners next trip -- probably their Salmon with Spinach (19.99) and the Chicken Parmigiana (16.99). Prices are average but we will be looking for better flavors to keep us coming back.

Absolutely wonderful food in a lovely little restaurant. They were full on a Tuesday evening, which is not usual in restaurants. My daughter's salmon and spinach and my chicken marsala were perfect -- yum! A real gem of a place.

I rarely review a place. But...we have gone to Bella Ciao maybe 4 times now since they opened. Excellent service, friendly staff, and good eats.

We have done salads, kids meals, some of the apps, and at least a couple of the entrees.

Very small restaurant, but very nice dcor, everything my family and I ate was amazing, taste and portion size. Mom had gluten free pasta with Marinara, dad had Chicken and pasta, mine was Spicy shrimp in marinara with penna pasta. And finally we had tiramisu one of the best that I've had.

I recommend you make a reservation, as they were very busy the evening we visited, a Wednesday. We totally enjoyed our dining experience. Our server, Chris, carried a heavy load as he was also tending bar. The service was excellent in spite of this. All the food was cooked fresh and you could tell that quality ingredients were used. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Linguine Pesto chicken. Both were very good choices. We enjoyed an excellent wine in the Moscato Primo Amore.
We saved room for dessert, and were glad we did.
We had Tiramisu and Chocolate cake. Both were rich and flavorful. We had leftovers from dinner and dessert.

The margaritas and food was wonderful

I finally checked out this place I've been driving by for months. And I should have gone there sooner! It was so good! I always order spaghetti and meatballs at new Italian restaurants to check out there red sauce and we have a winner. It was so delicious. House wines are $3.00 on Wednesdays, and that was good also. Cute place! Will definitely go back again, sooner this time!

I have eaten here twice now, and each time has me excited to come back again. I have tried many new restaurants, but this is one that I am excited to keep coming back to and highly recommend. Love the spaghetti and meatballs, fra diavolo, and really excited to try the white sauces as well! Glad to have a good new place to eat!

Had dinner tonight for the first time. Three of us and 3 different items. Chicken Marsala was fabulous with side of spaghetti. Shrimp Scampi with Linguini was perfect and a very clean plate was all that was left. Fra Diavolo was excellent and custom made with chicken instead of shrimp. And the complementary cheese bread sticks rocked. Thank you for a great dinner and great service. Please dont ever leave!!!!

I had the best pasta dish tonight that I have had in years. The shrimp scampi linguini was the best Ive ever had. I highly recommend this new place. It is wonderful!

We tried Bella Ciao for the first time with some friends and were very pleased with the service, the atmosphere, and of course the food. My Chicken Carbonara was excellent and we gave thumbs up on the Meatball Sandwich, Shrimp Scampi with Linguine, and Ravioli. The bread sticks were great and the complimentary appetizer of garlic bread with mozzarella and marinara was a delicious way to start off a delicious dinner. We will be back.

Food is amazing!!!! I had lemon chicken with spaghetti as a side. Spaghetti sauce is chunky and fantastic. They start with garlic cheese bread, with dipping sauce. It is complimentary. Portions are great. All meals on our table were excellent in size, everyone enjoyed.

Seemed short staffed but the only bartender/waiter was able to balance the tables pretty well. Food quality was very good. Pricing same to slightly more than Donatelli's down the street.

This is a fairly new restaurant and has time to grow into itself. The excellent customer service and cuisine makes up for the slapped together feel of the decoration. The staff was so friendly and inviting that it made my family and me feel right at home. Cloth napkins are a nice touch!!

Found it while looking for a delivery Italian joint in google maps. Don't trust google by the way, Doordash and such doesn't in my opinion make a restaurant a delivery joint...

Anyways, I called in an order for takeout. The food was ready in about 10 minutes as the gentleman had said, and was still fresh and hot. I asked how long the place has been there and he said 2 months.

I then made the 7 minute drive home.

The breadsticks were still reasonably soft after getting home and the Chicken Carbonara was spectacular. The sauce was a tad thin but not to the point of being broken. More importantly, the sauce coated ALL the food. This is of high importance to me as many other joints serve up dry noodles.

I'll definitely be going back to try other meal options but for now I recommend the Chicken Carbonara.

The food was amazing. I ordered shrimp scampi, I love shrimp and this is probably my favorite shrimp dish! I also had a Caesar salad and it was amazing! The dressing was amazing. And the croutons were delectable. The service was also great, and I am so glad I went here. Over all it was delectable and great service, I really do recommend coming here.

I had the lemon chicken with capers and a side of fettuccine Alfredo and everything was really good. The chicken was very moist and buttery and lemony. The Cesar salad was decent. My boyfriend liked the Buffalo wings he said they were slightly over cooked but he still enjoyed them. He requested all flats when we ordered on Grubhub and they did it.
